Hector Serrano

I have been aware of the huge and diverse work of Serrano and have always particularly enjoyed his reduced carbon footprint souvenirs. I have just seen another LAB project of his that involves 3D scanning a personal and loved object in order to produce and 3D print out of the object. This is essentially digitally backing up the 3D in case anything should happen to the treasured item. I like the Idea of being able to replace an object in the same way that we would now replace a photograph. This project is called BACK UP OBJECTS.
